"Shhh." Abby kept her voice down to a hiss, clapping her hand over Connor's mouth. "You know we can't get caught, Conn."
Connor nodded quickly, pulling her hand away. "Sorry, Abs," he whispered. "But we really have to catch Sid and Nancy. I don't even know how they got out."
"Doesn't matter. Since they're here in Lester's neighbours' back garden, we can only hope no one will see them before we can catch them."
"And hopefully they won't know just who ate their prize dahlias," he muttered as they crept along the fence toward the escapees who were munching happily.
